Seeing some interesting progress in less than 3 months

Hi,

I wanted to post some of my results since I started with minoxidil + finasteride, and see what you guys think.

A little background: I had a rapid hairloss a couple years ago, didn't really know what to do so I just shaved it off. Then I learned more about different solutions, so I started with minoxidil and finasteride on May of this year.

Currently I'm doing:
- Minoxidil 5% twice a day
- Finasteride 1mg per day

This is last year, after the fast hairloss:



This is 2 weeks after starting treatment with minoxidil + finasteride (around May 10-15):



This is today, after 76 days of treatment (pictures taken on the same place as the ones above):




I'm happy with the results so far, but what do you think? I tend to be overly optimistic, so I don't trust myself sometimes

It's hard to compare shaved vs grown out. But you hair in the last pictures look OK. Nice hairline and treatments will keep thickening your hair for the coming year I guess.

Yeah, I agree, that's why I'm having trouble knowing whether the treatment is working or hair is just growing. I feel like my hairline looks better now though, but I could be wrong. I'm 29 btw.

I took my progress pictures with the same shirt on too (for consistency lol), do you see it as a bad thing?

The last set of photos is what my current hair looks like, if you keep it up once you reach 1 year mark you might get some very decent regrowth.

I am using minoxidil as well,2 months now but not progress so far..
Maybe its because i am using minoxidil only once per day?before bed?
Am i wasting my time like that?

Not sure... I have heard that results before 4-6 months are rare, I believe you shoud just continue until the 6 month or 1 year mark.

Also, maybe you should try twice per day if you didn't get any side effects.

I have zero side effects...Does that mean that it is not working ?

I think the best thing to do for you is to use like bald29 finasteride + minoxidil 2 times daily and hope that it works.

I hate applying minoxidil in the morning before all of my activities.
makes my hair look even worse than they really look

Your decision but it gives the best results and it is supposed to be applied twice.
