Seems that Spectral DNC just isn't for me!

It's been about 3 months since I substituted spectral for the foam at night and my hair has been going steadily down hill.

At first, I thought "Wow - this shed must mean I'm really responding!"

Then, when it prolonged, I thought "Nope, too long for a minoxidil shed - must be another dutasteride shed."

Well, I've been shedding for 3 months and the overall appearance of my hair has been steadily declining as well. So, I think even a dutasteride shed would have begun to recover by now.

The only other changes that I made too my regimine at the same time are as follows:

Switched from nizoral 2% 3x/wk to nizoral 1% 4x/wk
Switched from Nioxin on my off days to H&S 2%
Stopped using tricomin (b/c that's the benefit of DNC right?)

Pretty sure I'm tossing this stuff since it's not worth the price and hassle applications and going back to the foam (may cycle in DL's minoxidil w/ retin-a during a couple of the winter months).

Has anyone here seen Spectral benefits over and beyond that of the foam?

Thought I would bump this post because there is one other factor that came to mind that might have altered the equation and contributed to my loss: I stopped using Nitric Oxide Supplements such as NO Xplode, etc. that contain L-Arginine (among other compounds), for which their are anectodal reports relating to hair growth (benefits).

I was just using it for weighlifting purposes but, looking back, my hair was looking pretty damn good while I was on it!

I have been considering adding NO Xplode to my workout regimen for sometime to boost my pumps and this may have just peruaded me into it :)

Looks impressive on the web sites for NoXplode. Not heard of it before but sounds really good for muscle build and fat burn. Wonder if it is actually good for hair too... a lot of nutrients and ingredients.

If Bryan or the experts have a look at ingredients and comment?

Re Spectral - I gave up after a month but not because it didn't work I just knew I was not going to keep it up forever which of course you have to. I have only seen a handful of good reports but not many negative ones either...Seems to be always good reports on the foam so if I was ever going to try minoxidil again I think I would use foam.

Mr. Successfull:

The NO X-plode does work good for energy at the gym, esp. during the first month or so. However, it's main ingredient for this is simply a sheet-load of caffeine. In other words, about the same as drinking 2 or 3 cups of coffee. And you will build a tolerance to it (why its recommended that you cycle it, I guess).

The next NO product that I try will be that Xcience stuff. It's still pretty highly rated and has no caffeine (and cheaper I think).

Sorry to get off topic. My interest here is if the L-Arginine (or any other of the ingredients in this type of stuff) really benefits hair, or was just a past coincidence.
