Shake the bottle? Nizoral

Hi, I just began to use Nizoral 2 % and I have 2 questions :

-On the bottle it is written "Shake the bottle".
When, and why?

-Also, do you do 2 successive applications or only one?
On nizoral instructions, it says = single one but on hairlosstalk website I found this:

"Apply it immediately when you get into the shower and rinse out the past-day's buildup. Then reapply, and allow it to soak for the duration of your shower. This is the most important part. Give the medicated shampoo the ability to do its job. "

Yes, shake the bottle as instructed. Giving it a good shake before each use makes sure the active ingredient is evenly distributed.

Only one application is needed. Let it soak in for three to five minutes (but no longer than this) before rinsing it out.

I've read that doing a quick pre wash first to get rid of the days dirt and grime helps the nizoral to be absorbed better into your scalp.

Yes I have read that too, maybe a very soft pre wash could enhance absorption, but I don't know... I washed my hair two or three times a month before Androgenetic Alopecia... (yes, I am french )
