shake well before use

my first bottle of minoxidil which i had to get from a pharmacist since I live in Canada had a big label on it that said "shake well before use"...i shake my bottle before each application , even my store bought rogaine. Is there anything to this? anyone know? I have had what I would label as good to very good results thus far in terms of regrowth.

Nope don't think i've ever heard of this either, never read it in the instructions or on the bottle.

Minoxidil is normally produced as a solution not a suspension so there would be no reason to shake it.
