So I've been using this bottle of Head and Shoulders Classic Clean for Normal/Oily hair for about a year now and it's pretty good. I like the way it makes my hair feel and the reduction in dandruff.
The bottle's running low so I bought another one the other day except this time I bought Head and Shoulders Dry Scalp Care shampoo. I checked the ingredients and found one single difference between the two: Classic Clean had guar hydroxypropyltrimonium chloride, while Dry Scalp Care had Polyquaternium-10 instead. How can one ingredient difference change the whole shampoo from Classic Clean to Dry Scalp Care? Does this actually make a difference or is it just the company's way to increase sales by offering a different "type" of shampoo that is basically exactly the same?
