That sub is a real goldmine of delusion tbh, even though this particularly post is tongue in cheek.

It has a cultlike vibe too it as well. Reminds me of that baldcafé guy.
They try to force a certain mindset on you, with the implicit message that if you don't conform ( and shave ) you're a weakling who can't face up to the facts. They almost act like shaving is a rite of passage every balding guy has to go through to. The only victory possible against mbp. While there's obviously a wealth of alternatives that don't make you any less or more of a man than clipping it does.

Yeah, I mean I think there should be a place for support for those who choose to shave and live with that, like some get side effects from treatments, transplants may not be viable due money, DUPA or due to a fullblown NW7, etc. and others just don't wanna deal with the hassle of fighting this curse. And that's fine and all but I think sometimes it get's really delusional like you said, I saw someone on that sub who had a literal triangle for a head and people in the comments were like "you got the perfect headshape". It's one thing to be positive but now you're just lying. And Baldcafe kinda has those vibes too at times, he once made a video about how it's better to go bald young than older because supposedly you "get it out of the way" (at a horrible point in life), "you start hitting the gym" (you can do that with hair as well?), and "you don't age" (lol).

I guess it's on the end of one side of the spectrum, and then on the other side there's the whole "bald is comparable to acid attacks", etc. type of stuff, which isn't good either.

I don't really get why shaving is supposedly the ultimate victory, I mean it kinda is just giving up when you think about it. And then you have to shave the horseshoe for the rest of your life in an attempt to hide it? How is that "owning" your hair loss? The horseshoe is the end result of male pattern baldness, why would trying to hide it be "owning" your baldness? But idk, people can do whatever they want. I prefer to fight for my hair, I just can't stand the thought of being bald.

That's truly the biggest irony of the 'just shave it' bros. They try to as if it's the effortless, logical and masculine solution, while in reality it's not inherently less vain or time-consuming than fighting it is.
Not to mention they often turn the whole shaving thing into a weird fetishistic ritual ( Baldcafé also has some videos in that vein on his channel). I don't know man, that doesn't seem like a healthy and supposedly confident way of handling things.

That sub is the stereotypical forced positivity echo chamber where every slightly rational opinion ( that goes against the grain) gets filtered out. Pretty much reddit in a nutshell.

I mean you don't have to break the guys heart, but at least be somewhat honest. Dress it up nicely but don't delude people. You can fool an individual, but you can't fool all of reality. At least not when it's that obvious

That sub is the ultimate definition of delusion.
I dont even wanna talk about the types of delusional morons I encountered there who try to convince me that my 95% woman rejection rate is due to my personality (whom women have always complimented) and not due to me transforming from an above average guy to a mushroom head uglytard.

thing is that most people there are just plain ugly...
i do support shaving it if they think it is okay, though...
but more often than not balding isnt their main issue... its being ugly in general...

Its not that most there are ugly, its that baldness makes men ugly apart from probably 5-10% of men.

well, i dont say every bald man is ugly, but most are, of course loosing hair makes it worse...
though most balding men are either fat, short, hairy, or massive on top of being bald...
so yes, balding makes it worse, but they didnt exactly have a good start anyway...

I agree that shaving does not solve many problem concerning balding, especially if you have a horrible headshape or you are just ugly, it's a good alternative for someone who just wants to get it over with. I shave my head (not too often tho) becuase I like how I look and I don't want to take these meds lol. It's not ideal, but now I am much calmer and happier in my life now that I am already bald and I don't worry if my gf will like me bald because she fell in love with bald me. :) As for baldcafe, he seems to be tired of shaving it because he grew out his horseshoe, which is very ballsy lol. When I did it in February it felt weird lmao. When your hair is sh*t, it's the same situation as shitty facial hair, you will look cleaner shaved

I didnt say most men are ugly, I said 90% of bald men are ugly because of baldness. Without baldness, with the proper hairstyle, every man can look decent.
But, nah, the universe wants us to be ugly stray dogs.
And no, I wouldnt say most balding/bald men are fat or let themselves go in other areas, but some are because they gave up on life after baldness.

More power to you bro. I'm not shitting on shaving in general. I think it can be genuinely relieving, especially if you have been fighting hairloss for a while and it's making you hopeless. I only hate the faux macho mindset that pretends shaving is the only option while fighting is supposedly a sign of weakness and insecurity. They don't put it quite so bluntly, but that's the subtext

This is true also. For many people hair is a beautiful illusion. Remove that and their underlying ugliness gets revealed. Not that balding itself isn't ugly for the vast majority of men, but many, who were on the threshold of ugliness ( with only their hair keeping them in the average category) get tipped over into the abyss once they start losing hair

Anything that's not chad gets ugly because of baldness.
I have a friend who's a chadlite (8/10) with blue eyes, decent facial features and blond hair. Remove that blonde hair and he instantly turns into 4/10 max.

Has nothing to do with "Chad" or "not Chad", just gotta luck out and have the right head shape, skin tone and features to pull it off, which is rare.

There are a few men look almost the same / don't lose much without hair, and even gain a rugged unconventionally attractive look. E.g. Jason Statham.

He pulls off the bald look better than guys who look better than he would given both sides had hair.
