Shaving Head = Hair Will Never Grow Back?

This might sound like a dumb question, but I've been considering shaving my head completely. I am currently a Norwood N3V and on 1 mg finasteride daily, which has 'maintained' my hair (though ive been noticing significant thinning over the past 5 months)

Basically, if I shave, will the hair grow back, assuming I continue taking Propecia? Or will my hair grow back in much worse shape? (Lose hair, never grows back)

Just as a follow up question, I've been considering upping my finasteride dosage to 2.5mg, since I've been slipping on 1mg. Theoretically speaking, will that be effective or no? I've read up on mixed opinions about this.

At this rate, I'll be bald waiting for results in 6 months. Thanks!

Shaving the hair will have no effect on its thickness.

Doubling the dose of Finasteride isn't really worth it. It doesn't double the effectiveness. More like a 10% increase at best. You're better off switching to Dutasteride.

they grow back the same as if you never shaved it. I was shaving my head before I started my treatment but stopped just cause I don't wanna cause any irritation to my scalp.

I agree too, they will be unhappy and lonely and they will need to seek professional help and they will never be the same

you dont need anymore than 1mg finasteride. Infact 0.5mg is about 90% effective.

Ok look......this is how it is.....

if you are in fact balding and you decide to shave your head, all your hair will definitely grow back.

The only thing that you will notice is the rate at which the hair grows back at. The places on your head with no male pattern baldness will grow back nice and thick and fast, the places without male pattern baldness will be ALOT slower (depending on where your male pattern baldness is at) but eventually it will catch up.

It will take some time and if you do not want to wear a hat all the time when you have the un-eveness, you will need to get your hair trimmed very frequently.
