Shed cycle or bad minoxidil? Dunno ..,..,

yeah idk what to do tbh. had great progress and its all shedding away on my fourth month. the hairs are all the new minoxidil ones and theyre all pretty much almost gone. also loosing these very transparent like hairs and stuff. I use 2 ml daily. Never miss a dose, maybe even use close to like 3 or 4 ML.

i am on finasteride. is this a shed cycle or some horseshit? i really didnt think i would lose progress after like 3 months lol.

Anyone else?... any ideas?

Hi, i'm not the most competent on this forum, but i think it could be a seasonal shedding independent from minoxidil, so don't panic yet.

If you're who I think you are, I don't think you ever had hairloss to begin with. At most you could be taking 0.25mg or 0.5mg a day or 1mg three times a week, just as a thr lowest dose for a prevention policy only. I have no idea why you are using Minoxydill.

Maybe I am confusing who you are.

I just have thinning in the hairline which I’m trying to counter. It’s only on my right side currrntly.

Try the foam twice daily. The liquid has PG which I find terrible for the scalp. Some people shed up to 4-5 months. You should also dermaroll to increase absorption. Either that or just take the oral.

uodate still losing a lot of ground. sh*t is awful. Every time i touch the old recovered area I’m loosing more hair

With all respect, this was the amount of regrowth I “had”

the entire triangle area is new growth or was. All the hairs seemed to have reached a certain length and are now shedding away.

Dude.... That's because those hairs are in the NW0 area lol. If the goal is to prevent maturation to NW1, then you're going to need to take estrogen and some extremely powerful drugs to maintain hair in that region. Regardless, I'd expect someone like you to maintain a NW1 for the rest of your life on your current regimen. You just have to give it time.

Vinny. You never had hairloss. You were a perfect Norwood 1 when you started, and at 29/30. You are now a Norwood 0 based on that picture. Did you ever even have those hairs at 10 or 15 years old? Really, all you should, at most, be doing is taking a small dose of finasteride just as a prevention only to keep your original hairline. Your hairline is trailing into your eyebrows now, almost touching it.

After a month almost of shedding I’m now at baseline and will be dropping all my treatments tomorrow.
