shedding after haircut?

Man... went out and got a haircut today , hairline has receded loads.. but theres nothing i can do about that , so lets not worry about it. Anyways, I noticed how many hairs seemed to be falling out after getting my haircut.. now Im not talking about those loose small trimmed hairs that everyone gets after a haircut , Im talking about the ones with roots? Its like my hair was under so much stress from getting a hair-cut?

I've heard that some people get "shock loss" after a hair transplant? Did you have a perticulary outlandish hair cut and shock your hairs into shedding?

Seriously though, I *think* the only way you'll lose hair from a hair cut (other than the hair being cut off ofc) is if you have some bleaching or colouring agents on for too long, and that's not pretty.
