Shedding After Stopping Minoxidil (which I Used Only For One Week)

Hey guys.
I'm new here and yes with the same problem. Haha.
So I'm 23 years old (June). Before my birthday I wasn't seeing any hair loss and I never thought of it. One day my cousin said to me "Omg are your hair getting thinner?".
And since that day (July 2017) and till now I haven't found peace in my mind.

The truth is that my right side is getting thinner. I mean I can see my scalp sometimes.

But funny thing is that when I rub my hair I didn't use to see hair on my hands. Even in shower not that much.

I decided to have a visit with a dermatolog and she said I'm OK and I shouldn't take any medication. But I still was seeing my hair getting thinner so I decided to take minoxidil (since my uncles were bald since early age).

So I start taking minoxidil (Kirkland topical solution) for one week (3 days once a day and 4 days twice a day). Problem is that I started having headache till I couldn't tolerate it more and I stopped it.

My hair now is shedding (it had started since first days of minoxidil) and now I can see hair (4-5 hairs) when I rub my hand to hair. I'm getting worried. I know it's normal and it's has been asked so much but will this shed hair come again? And when it will stop (I just used minoxidil for one week).

Please someone answer me and forgive me for so repeated question.

And can anyone suggest me what kind of other treatment should I get or minoxidil the only solution?

Thanks in advance

P.S God dammit hairlosstalk, those captcha questions were so f*cked up.

Your hair will return to normal, a few hairs in your hand is totally normal. I think its more abnormal that you noticed no hairs falling before using minoxidil. I would not use it until you are certain you are losing your hair. For your information minoxidil does cause an initial shedding where you lose alot of hair but it comes back thicker after a few months

Yes I know it's normal but since I stopped using it, I am asking if my shed hair during this time will come back.

Do you think I should give another try and maybe organism get used with the headache and it's gone?

If you have no noticable signs of hair loss i would not continue with minoxidil. Your shed hair should come back, but it doesnt seem like you lost enough to make a difference.
