Shedding from 2% nizoral?

Hey,

I started a "regimen" using nizoral 2% about a month ago every 3rd day because I can buy it over the counter. At first when I ran my fingers through my dry hair only a few hairs would fall out (10-20). Now about a month into 2% nizoral, it seems like 50+ fall out into the sink when I run my fingers through my hair.

Could this be nizoral related or am I just going through an aggressive form of male pattern baldness? (male, 21 years old, diffuse thinning starting to take shape in a NW4 with an island in the front...just like my dad :-x )

I only use it once a week as it does appear aggressive and dries out scalp and hair. But eveyone swears by it so you should alternate with other gentle moisturising shampoos.

Can you recommend any gentle shampoos?

J&J's baby shampoo/conditioner (clear bottle, orange in colour) is a great mild shampoo/conditioner combo. The front label should read "no more tears".
