My hair definitely seems to be thinning. It appears to be thinning all over but it's mostly noticeable along the sides were it's cut short. I suppose some thinning is expected for a guy almost 40? I also notice the strands of my hair are really fine and come out easily. It's hard to estimate but I would guess I'm losing between between 90-140 hairs a day. I've had blood work done recently and I'm otherwise healthy. So I guess my question is how many hairs is considered shedding? How many would be considered balding? Is it a correct assumption that if I was balding I would first lose it on the crown or front of the head and not all over?
