shedding small and weak hairs since starting finasteride

hi i took one dose of 1/4th proscar this week. now i am shedding like crazy, very fine weak hairs.some hairs taper towards the bulb.but most are like vellous hairs with tapering towards the outer tip.i was planning to taper on doses. i didn't have a shed prior to taking finasteride. is tapering on dosage good??
is it normal to shed hairs so quickly??

Increasing your dosage by increments has not shown to be problematic. Are you tapering for a particular medical reason or to conserve money? Thanx for sharing.

not to save money but to minimize sides.
