Shedding Thick Healthy Hairs On Minoxidil

Just started minoxidil about a week ago, the shedding is expected obviously and that doesn't concern me. What does concerns me is I've only been shedding healthy long hair, no smaller hairs or miniaturized hairs. With all the anecdotal claims saying that in theory minoxidil works by shedding the weaker hairs, further promoting thicker healthier hair that stays anagen longer.

So does this treatment not differentiate between types of hair? Makes sense in my own thinking that it wouldn't necessarily, but by the area of where you apply. I just don't want to go through a shed just to have all my thick healthy hair gone and left with less density.

If anyone could put their input it'd be greatly appreciated.

I shed all kinds of hairs when i had the dread shed in beginning.

I had week 3 and 4 shedding and by week 5 and 6 I started to see some small sprouts.

That's good news. Like I said I just don't want to lose a crazy amount of density, especially when my hair has been improving from finasteride. If things go way too south I'll just shave it haha.

Mine looked a little 'crappier' before it looked better...now it looks great in comparison to before I started.

I mean everyone has their own experience.
