ive been on propecia and minoxidil for about a month and over the past few days ive noticed an unusually high amount of hair ending up at the bottom of my shower

is it likely that i am in the shedding process and if so how long does it last?

I have been on minoxidil for about a month and have been enduring a big shed. At least I hope it is a shed. I am losing a lot of hair. I think I am a NW2 and am just starting to show signs of balding. I'm 27. I hope that it will eventually grow back. I have not started taking propecia yet b/c I'm afraid that it will make the shedding worse.

amrod, what you do is click on the highlighted word "shedding" in your post and you'll be able to learn more about shedding and why this is happening. It can be the part of any hairloss regimen and does not mean that it's accelerating your hairloss.

You are getting your shed right on schedule. The one month on minoxidil shed is common. Stick with it.

Good I am glad to hear that it is normal. The shed has me quite alarmed b/c I feel like it is pretty heavy.

I have some Proscar that the Doctor prescribed me but I have been holding off taking it b/c I didn't want more shedding. Do you think I should start now anyway? Will it make my shedding worse?
