just wondering if all you experienced hair transplant patients that have been through it (shock hair loss due to hair transplant), or going through it and could tell me about what happens (one day do you just find masses of hair on your bed linen?), your experiences, is it obvious and do you look even worse then before the hair transplant?

any feedback greatly appreciated

The shockloss happens soon after the op due to the trauma of the newly planted grafts. Surrounding natural hairs can be damaged during the op especialy if the new grafts are densly packed. Since its likely you will have been shaved down there is no finding masses of hairs falling out. Your hair just grows back seemingly thinner.
Shockloss can be permanant if those hairs are already on their way out due to miniturization from DHT but often it will all grow back at around about the same time that the new grafts start to grow in. 3/4 months.
If your having a thickening up procedure you are most at risk but if its just on a very bald area eg a receeded hairline there is much less risk.

I'd say once all the new grafts have shed.

Shockloss ususally set in around 2-4 weeks post-op. There are some variances. Once you get past say 6 weeks, you're in the clear.
