Shock Loss question

Hi Everyone,

I had a transplant done about a month ago and I have experienced a lot more shock loss in and around the surrounding areas then I expected.
Just wanted to know if this is normal and if it has happed to others.

After my first transplant 3 years ago I had no shock loss or not enough to stand out.

I got 1000 hairs all in and behind my hair line to fill in more receding from my last transplant.

I have had a lot of shock loss with-in my hiar line and behind it in the middle

many thanks as always

Jr

more likely the grafts shed, I think the different angle makes it look worse also as your head is tilted farther forward in the first pic so the hairline isn't as exposed.

There is always a chance of shock loss when you transplant into native areas especially when you have quite a bit of hair already, actually I have no idea why you had any more work done.

How far post op are you ?

You said you had 1000 hairs put in, was that 1,000 single hair grafts ?

Who did the work ?

I know pictures can lie but I have no idea why you had any work done. I'm very close to being in the same boat as you are as I could use about 500 grafts in my hairline.

One reason I'm holding off is that you can get permanent shock loss when you transplant into native hair.

If you want to see real shock loss check out my pic titled 9/2006 which is 30 days after my last hair transplant of 1K grafts. Thanks god it all grew back.

Ok so I think I may have left out some of the information that would explain what I mean.

When I was 26 I had 3000 hairs done to my hair line that was over 6 years ago.

This year I had some more of the receding filled in. the before pic was taken 2 weeks before this transplant not the first. So yes it looks good but the hairs I had added where more in behind the hairline not on it.

Before I had the first transplant I was a norwood 2 may be 2 ½

what scared me was how much fell out after this transplant

It's not uncommon, start worrying in a few months if it don't grow back, maybe look in to buying some tricomin in the meantime

Strange that he would use all single hair grafts behind the hairline as I'm guessing you had a little bit of see through hair that was bothering you.

Was it FUE or strip ?
