No you certainly should not give up on life. why do you have a shotgun laying around ? Back on topic though dude you're 18! Yes male pattern baldness blows chunks but killing yourself over your image is not worth it. Life right now might seem all about looks and self image I assure you there is waaayyyyyyyy more to life. Yes things suck and yes you're bald but killing yourself will not bring your hair back and being obsessed with being bald and loathing in self pity will not bring your hair back either. Instead of letting it ruin you find something else to focus your negative energy on atm school, a job, yoga, whatever your vice. Do things that make you feel good about yourself and slowly you will be able to change the negative thoughts, no it won't happen over night but the longer you go hating yourself and not doing anything about it the harder it will be to overcome. I say these things from personal experience, there have been times where it felt it might be easier to just give up we all have been there but there is so much to do in life you really should try. You need to start slowly to get yourself out of this cycle just focus on doing things that truly make you happy and not just doing stuff that numbs you from yourself while you kill time in the day. Over time you will figure yourself out and you will be happy trust me I know when you feel low you feel being happy is a fairy tale, take it form me and other posters life is worth living my friend.

My first thought aswell.

But all I can add is that there are millions if not billions of people who would love to trade situations with you.
Not only the 3rd world people but basicly anyone who is getting old, disabled or terminally ill.
Think about it dont you think that even a guy like Hugh Hefner would prefer to be in your shoes and have his whole life ahead of him again?
At 18.5 you are barely starting adult life.
And even if you never amount to much in terms of career, money, women ect. You still have the opportunity to live and experience whatever is coming to the world, good or bad.
Who knows what the future has in store for not just you but the world in general.

Dude, first of all, you look good. Picture is not too clear, but you've got a nice face and your head is a good shape.

Secondly, you should really consider therapy. You are depressed, no buts about it, and a therapist really helps getting things in perspective.

Thirdly, I'm 5'4'', started slowly balding at 19, and was a virgin until I was 21. I'm doing fine now though, it gets better if you don't give up.

Exodus2011, you look like Mr Spock's child on your avatar. The photo you've posted is better. What kind of hairloss do you have? I see you're NW2? What's your family history on that matter?

No you should not give on life.

It's a bastard at times but keep battling on.

You are 18 years old, your whole world is right in front of you. I know hairloss at that age can be an absolute disaster as you are meant to be invincible at that age.
You will get older, so will your friends, they will maybe loss hair, gain wrinkles, a beer belly.

I was really down about my hairloss for a long time when I was younger. I was 21 and everyone around me had NW1 and thick, whilst I was NW2.5 and thinning thinking 'Why?'.
Now I'm 29, I've keep myself in reasonable good shape, I am thinning like a MOFO (If a MOFO does such a thing? ;) but I'm positive. I was told by a great looking girl that my positivity is very attractive. I'm by no means a handsome guy but this past years, I've had a few offers for dates. More so when I looked younger and better.

I don't like balding. I don't like seeing myself looking older than my friends, but there's only so much we do regards it. Research and search for options, if you really miss hair - try a wig, or try nanogen/toppik to see how that goes, try buzzing if you are thinning all over, try a high and tight. Experiment and see what makes you feel good.

I do feel at times sh*t about hairloss but I instantly regret losing so much of youth by hiding behind caps or not going to 'brightly lit places' because of my thnning dome.

Some shallow people may joke, but ignore them, focus on the better and sweeter ones. You will get dates. You will get dates. Get out there and work on your confidence around women. If you are not speaking often to women, try talking to the check out girl or woman even. Even if you don't find her attractive, just speak to her and be friendly and nice. Start slowly and build yourself up.
Find interesting topics to talk about, read books, listen to what people say, eye contact but not too much, show an interest in the person you are talking to and you will get dates.

All the best.

well it don't look TOO visible right now, i'm shaved on a 1/8 inch guard all over

but i just hate having to shave my head

WTF omg dude what are you even upset about ?? You have a very nicely shaped head and glasses really suit the whole look. With a wardrobe to match the look you will be a good looking bald guy even when it's all gone my friend. Consider yourself lucky man you have a good shape, good skin tone, even if it all goes away and you go sly you'll be a good looking cat you seriously need to stop punishing yourself.

no homo to all the telling you how good you'll look btw lol

He has a nice head shape that's true. But a shaved head does not suit him well and with those glasses he looks way too nerdy... He should change his image

I have to disagree sure maybe could use an upgrade on frames for the glasses but i think a shaved head suits him quite well.

You went from looking mexican to asian/philipino. Your hairline is still intact and you are still very young so just go with the treatments but just looking at that picture I'm thinking MP.

Hey man,

First post reply but Im jumping in feet first. To begin with i want to say how much better you look with your hair buzzed than in your avatar. Congratulations, You have made yourself more appealing to women as result and that is a testament to the power of hair (or lack of). I would like to qualify that statement with the words 'no homo' which appear to be the ettiqutte as it seems necessary for some reason to establish that im not bringing a c**k to the table.

It is also hard to tell how bad the loss is, but perhaps you can grow it out a little on top, keep it short in the sides and as it grows mess it up a little on top, maybe use some concealers and see how it works for you. Personally I think you look good with it buzzed but its a subjective thing.

Finally I dont think you should give up, if you went and met future exodus, who has an asian wife and NW1 child, would you try to persuade him he should end it?! I think future exodus would be far too busy giving a healthy portion to his bang tidy missus to listen to you!

This is obviously a crappy time for you, but even if you are sometimes on the wrong road, so long as you keep the wheels rolling you can always turn it around and get back on the road to booty.

what is MP?

Micro pigmentation... scalp tattooing.

And kudos to the Beaker avo. I bet he could cure baldness before any of those other goons in labcoats could. Granted the hair would be bright red, lifeless and whispy. Muppet hair.

No, you will still be a minority amongst thirty somethings and above, thus still feeling isolated from your age group.

Well, hello than.I noticed hairloss (diffuse thining) 3-4 months before my 18 birthday (great present) :thumbdown2: I am 20 years old now.I dont know for sure..but i think that, year after year i look at myself i accept the reality much more easier than before..when i was 18 and realized i am loosing my hair..i thought the world was end..well,for me i guess..but i was wronge. This forum saved my day that day...just fight this f*****g curse and remember,if you are here in this forum, you care about your appearance..think about working out..well after all this is also some kind of appearance...dont you think?this is something that i realized that i can compensate with.. well i am not saying that if your body is perfect you will be a magnit for girls like Jason Statham,or Vin Diesel..but it's better to be with great body that makes girls going crazy, whether be bald and fat... i am sorry for my bad english, but i am sure you understand me properly ;)

Hey Exodus, the buzzed hair looks good on you, a bit like Theo Walcott. Seriously you're lucky, most guys have much worse head shape and features than that.

Don't give up on life man.

I didn't manage to get laid til 6 month before I turned 20. Before that point I was full of frustration and constant negative thoughts about everything in life including hairloss..

...but after I nailed that first girl, I lost all that nervous tension and really began to enjoy life, it was a huge psychological victory and things only got better from there.

Hang in there and your lucky break will definitely come.
