Should I look to dutasteride?

So I'm 23 and have been taking propecia for 2.5 years. As always, it's hard to say if it really worked for me. My crown is strong, but my vertex/temple areas were slowly going away. I went on minoxidil a few months ago, it was great, but now I think it's losing steam. The vertex/temples are getting weak again.

Now, I'm at the line where it's starting to get noticeable. I'm thinking about going to my dermatologist next month, but I don't know if he can tell me anything new. Should I ask about dutasteride? I mean, I've tolerated finasteride pretty well and don't see any sides (except maaaybe for a lowered sex drive), so maybe I can handle dutasteride just fine?

youve been on propecia for a while, give dutasteride a shot. be careful as your hair might not respond well and even worsen from the change.

I am also 23 years old, problem on the entrances,,, it is like sh*t, I completely understand you.
I took finasteride for a long time and then I chose for Propecia and used it for long months.
On june 2009 I changed to Avodart (dutasteride) and all I can say is that the results are not as I expected. Maybe the situation could be worse with finasteride or with no medications, but as we all know, it is not good to change medications like this like a short-time usage. So I might keep using Avodart at least for a some more months.
And does it make sense to go from finasteride 1mg to Avodart which is such a stronger medication and then come back using finasteride 1mg? It doesn't sound a nice idea, though.

As far as I know, using pure minoxidil 5% in the front part of the head/scalp, is not a good idea. That's why people suggest using Spectral DNC.
Try it, and it's even more complete medication than Regaine.
