Hello, im 28 years old and i took finasteride 0,5mg every day for about 1 year and 3-4 months, i started on 0,25mg but then i increased the dosage.
I was fine in the beggining but after about a year i started getting ball pain, sometimes my balls would spontaniously rise up in my body for no appareant reason, i wasn't hot or cold and they did it so hard that it was quite painful. It happend like maybe 7-10 times, it would come in cycles. 1 week it could be normal then one week it would get increasingly worse, it seemed to get better when i skipped finasteride a couple of days.

I went to the doctor and they did a ultrasound on my balls and they found a very small spermatocle so i attributed my problems to this.
I soildered on thinking that it was temporary, the pain was but now my libido got bad, i could still get hard and orgasm but my penis felt numb, and my orgasm felt bad. So i decided to quit finasteride. Within 2-3 days my libido was like i was 15 again and my orgasms felt great. Now its been a couple of months since i quit and my libido is alright.

I was also noticing i was still loosing ground in the front of my hairline. While on Fina.
Anyways im thinking of trying 0,25mg eod or ed and see if i can tolerate it, im very scared of sides tough, if they would get worse, but loosing my hair man, that would be detrimental to me. I have bad hair now but i was about to book an hairtransplant when i started getting these sides.

What should i do, should i try a small dose again? Or should i stay off it and maybe go for a transplant anyways?

Do NOT go for a hair transplant if you aren’t getting on finasteride. You will increase the likelihood of shock loss to your existing hair and you will continue balding.

I say try 0.25mg and see how you do from there.
