Yes, it will help you big time. Diffuse thinners tend to be better responders and most of the stories I've read of men who have mainted ten years or more on the big 3 alone were of diffuse thinners that started early enough. Bad side of it is that it can be hard to detect at first unless you check your hair under bright lighting conditions, or have shaved your head and seen it grow unevenly. Hair transplants also tend to be harder for diffuse thinners.

Glad to hear that. Hopefully they will regrow, and mantain until 40s or 50s. For the moment i don't want to take min since it's a lifetime commitment, maybe i'll take it in the future, who knows.

Finasteride is a lifetime commitment too, as long as it works.

Anyway, realistically, for how long finasteride keep its effectiveness?
Depends on the severity of ones hairloss gene, but my family history is far from severe and can barely maintain on dutasteride or get thickening. But for a normal indevidual not a weird case like mine you can expect 5 to 10 to 20 years. It does happen that it can stop working for people too u just gotta get on it and wait and see.
