My hairline has been receding rapidly for the past few months, and I know from relatives that i'm going to lose it all by my mid 20's.

I finally got propecia and took 1mg 6 days ago, however I've had all the 'less than 2%!!!!' sexual side effects since. Is this normal from such taking it one time? Should I continue taking it, lower the dose to 0.5mg, or am I one of those guys that will take a of damage by using it?

OP, what did you decide? Did the side effects resolve or did you go back on? If the side effects have resolved, I would not take it again. No sense in risking it.

I am very doubtful that 1 mg of finasteride taken only once would result in a all the potential negative side effects. While I believe it's unrelated, I'm not a doctor. I would talk to whichever doctor prescribed it for you.

It's impossible to make a recommendation based on the information you've given us. You haven't told us anything about the side effects.

However, since you say you got them after 1 pill...I'm pretty sure it was all in your mind because you were worried about it ahead of time.
