Should I Visit A Doctor? Dutastide Crash? Hormonal Imbalance?

Since stopping dutasteride over a month ago my body has taken a hit. Maybe it's an hormonal imbalance but scalp is so sensitive to everything and keeps itching all over. I'm also apparently thinning on the sides of my scalp too now :(

My semen levels are low too. I dunno what to do but am getting very concerned.

to be honest most of the dutasteride should still be in your body

With a 5 to 6 week half life you still have a good couple months to go before it's out of your system.

In my opinion, you should assess your health condition and side effects, and focus on fixing them first. Your scalp will not calm down before your system does, since the inflammation is the result of your body fighting the fucked up hormonal balance by overcompensation. If you are experiencing any pfs like conditions, make sure you have a decent diet and sleep pattern, work out, etc.. It's not necessarily permanent. Best of luck!

How much time did you take dutasteride ? At which dose ?

It took me 6 months to a year for my sexual sides to go away from saw palmetto. Id imagine propecia/dutasteride could be longer. Is what it is eventually should go back to normal

My biggest concern is how sensitive my scalp is. i have lost alot of ground and i feel like i can't massage my scalp, use oils or certain shampoos because it creates inflammation for some reason... although i think my scalp is improving abit, but i can't be sure.

unfortunately i think i may be fucked when it comes to trying to stop hairloss. i think the topicals absorb systematically and my body creates an immune response and i think my body doesn't like the hormonal changes and again creates an immune response.

i just applied a tiny thin layer of spironolactone cream to my hairline... i am expecting my scalp to start itching in the thinning areas any moment now.

Hairloss just wants to drive me crazy with confusion. these things stop your itch? well they just give one!

Have you tried ru? I use something called mometasone propionate, it’s a topical steroid. It helps for a little bit, a few hours. I also put 2 drops of tea tree oil in my shampoo. These May help

Tea tree oil is supposed to be pretty good for skin BUT never use it directly on skin. Always dilute it in a carrier oil (or shampoo). I always mix my shampoo with a few drops of tea tree oil, myrrh oil, rosemary oil... Not sure which one (if any) is (most/more) efficient but I've been able to offset (at least in part) an inflames scalp. I do not use anti-androgen pills though so not sure how much it can help there. Always consult a specialist if you are worried. You will only get personal experiences here which do not necessary apply to your situations.

I have tried peppermint oil and I think I helps the inflammation around the hairline abit.

Problem is now, the inflammation is being created by something and I probably need to figure out what it is, otherwise it won't go away.

Sadly I still think I am having an immune response and I dunno what to do about it :(. All I can think of is visiting a doctor since for a while now after starting this hair loss fixing journey I have had joint pain in my hands and wrists and I fear it may be Rheumatoid arthritis. Basically arthritis from a stressed immune system attacking my joints.

I derma rolled my scalp last night and a couple of hours later my hands were hurting quite a bit. Yes i know it doesn't make much sense but I have noticed this quite a few times after derma rolling.
