Should We Be More Open To Plastic Surgery?

Recently I've been considering three surgeries: chin implant, hair transplant, and eye bag removal.

We all talk about looks on here. We all talk about the Halo Effect and how it can bring an individual life on easy mode. We all talk about how going from a 5 to a 7 can change your life significantly for the better in terms of love and in terms of career.

We all know that improving our appearance will greatly improve our lives.

So why aren't we more open to plastic surgery??

About me:

- Jaw line: it isn't actually weak but its a little soft and I genuinely think its my worst facial feature.

- eye bags: this is hereditary and as I age it worsens - surgery makes sense.

- hair transplant: self explanatory on this forum (however, I'm waiting to see if finasteride gets me back to a dense 2/3 because if it does I will not opt for the hair transplant).

Examples:

eye bag removal

Chin implant (my jaw is similar to this but my face is obviously different):

I'm thinking about getting the chin implant this winter and then waiting to see how my hair turns out next year before I decide whether to get the transplant. I may wait 2 or 3 years for the eye bag removal.

I live in near Thailand where I can get a chin implant for less than $2,000. A hair transplant for $4,000. Eye bag removal for only $1,000 (simple surgery).

For $7,000 (14 months of savings for me) I can go from maybe a 6 or 6.5 to a 7.5/

Thoughts?

Are you considering surgery?

I‘ve toyed with the thought repeatedly. I‘m just not convinced it will upgrade me or anyone. However, in the last pic you attached, the guy gains through the chin and better skin on his cheek. The hair transplant does not convince me. All in all he goes from a 4 to a 5 I‘d say, so one number up might be feasible for anyone. It‘s particularly interesting for a 6 to consider it, as 7 seems the magic threshold for both genders. However, the higher up, the less all steps/efforts (such as surgery) are going to make a difference. It‘s far easier to go from 2-3 (especially when mainly fat) to a 5 than from a 5.5 to a 7. Not surprisingly, the impact on girls would be ridiculously larger in the latter case.

I think he goes from wouldn't f*** to would f*** for most over 30 women and I guess that's all that matters.

My reasons are more because I want to optimize myself to the highest level.

Then nothing should hold you back from going ahead, if your budget permits it. I do not think the second guy's chin is significantly better, and they do present the men in a generally better view in the post-surgery-pics.

The only surgery you need is a hair transplant. You don't need the other types. Your chin and eye area are fine. I seriously don't understand why you don't go to Turkey and get one. I still want one even if you don't think I need one as I want to thicken up my hairline. My brother just saw me and asked me how is my hair so thick. I guess my perception is so much different since I got anesthetized by all the hispanic thick NW1 I see where I live.

Dude, are you sure you wanna opt for Thailand with these surgeries? Don't know anything about chin implants but certainly haven't come across any promising hair surgeons from Thailand. The last guy you posted had a sh*t result

A bad result will f*** up your life.

I am not convinced by face surgery yet.
I have a feeling the results are seldom natural and mostly look artificial.
I hope people don't see the same thing in hair transplants as I see in liftings.

you know , surgery often look good in picture but not so in real life
FOr a man ; the only thing that you have to maintain to look good enough is a low body fat and a good hairline .

when i was younger i wanted to do a nose job, and fortunately i never did it ! it often look to feminine on a guy .

the only surgery that is sometimes well done is the jaw surgery .

I see them on many football/soccer players: Metzelder, Rooney, Höwedes, Drmic, Fabregas, David Silva and many more. Even male friends of mine who do not obsess with hair/hair transplant at all notice sth's been done, and not just because they know of their state before surgery.

Doesn't mean some results won't be deemed as a success. Take Robert Harting, he doesn't look bad given where he came from. also jürgen Klopp's result looks good, although his initial situation was quite comfortable.

Still, if results looked more natural and convicing to me, I'd have had a hair transplant done already. I'm too demanding and hate scars, even tiny ones.

I've started taking finasteride and minoxidil a month ago. I guess I will have to wait until at July 2019 before deciding on whether to have a transplant. If I somehow luck out and regain density then maybe I wont have to have one.

Eye bag removal I will definitely have but I may wait 3 or 4 years when it becomes more noticeable.

Eye bag removal surgery works a charm:

I don't know enough about aesthetics to tell you exactly which surgery will give you the best bang for the buck. An expert might suggest placing those $7,000 into other areas, I don't know. Personally I'd hold off on a hair transplant this year as better treatments are on the way and might change the game.

How are your teeth? I've been doing Invisalign for nearly a year now, it does straighten one's teeth, slowly.

Funny. Bad (or even not close-to-perfect-) teeth with girls are a deal breaker for me. I've seen otherwise attractive girls open their mouth and my enthusiasm was immediately gone. Probably comparable to girls going from "he's somewhat cute" to "ewww" when I remove a hat.
I will not win many fans with tha there, but bad teeth are something I'd be more ashamed of than losing hair. Definitely worth investing in, mandatory even in my book.

My bottom centre tooth is pushed back. I went to an orthodontist but he said it would take a year to fix and it would cost over 3000 dollars.

I'd sooner spend that on a hair transplant because a crocked tooth doesn't matter that much to me.

Bottom is far less apparent, so I get your thinking.

Switzerland.

I know not everybody is like me in this regard. Some genuinely find a front teeth gap charming for example. For me it's almost deforming, to put it drastically.

I am annoyed that my skull is asymetric. Right jaw bigger than the left, and more angular. Any remedies?

I have a straight up five head; part of me wants to get some kind of hair line lower surgery. However if I even start to lose my hair really aggressively I'm fucked.
