Should you use minoxidil after 4 months of no results?

On the minoxidil label it states that if results are not seen after 4 months discontinue use. Is this true? I have used minoxidil for about 8 months on my temples, mostly left side, and the only thing i have seen is hair loss, mostly on the left side. what gives?

also.....is minoxidil better to use on bald spots, or thin areas?

8 is a long time, I wouldn't doubt if it's just not working. You might want to try an alternative topical such as spironolactone or Folligen in conjunction with the minoxidil for another 4 months and see if that kicks things into gear.
