Side Effect Question, need help

I have now been on Finasteride for about 2 weeks. My dosage was 5 mg, but I have been breaking them in half due to some testicle pain. Lately I have experienced a significant decrease in interest of sex and have also have not been able to maintain or achieve a full erection. I was wondering if any of you know whether or not this is likely to subside, as I might just be getting use to taking the drug, or am I probably going to have this problem as long as I take Finasteride?

Please answer back, I figure you fellows will have some good answers until I can get in to see my doctor.

Well I got some right testicular pain when I started finasteride (@ 1mg/day) and it went away in 2 weeks. I would recommend you lower your dosage to around 1 mg or 1.25 if you're cutting 5 mg pills (this way you will save money since 1 mg is enough for hairloss). I suffered from some libido loss but now, I have no problems at all getting erections. I suspect that in my case, it was more a psychological issue because I was scared to lose my wood.

I would break 5mg into 4th for treatment for male pattern baldness
