Side effects from 1mg finastride in 2 months

hi everyone, I am 19 & started noticing hair loss since i was 17, i started with some natural treatments when i was 18, continued it for a year but it didnt work so i started with Finastride (1mg) & minoxidil 5% on december 2014 (i was a NW2.5 bdw!!). Iam In the third month of the treatment & started to notice some side effects from finasteride,
(1) My erections are very weak
(2) My semen is completely watery
(3) My penis has shrunk a little bit

my question is will this side effect go with continuation of the treatment? if yes how long should i wait?

Hey,
i had my own experince in the beginning of the year. Side effects after 2 pills (1,25), Age 24, slim body. This is a powerfull drug anyway, but the most people are driving well. Often your body has just to adjust the new hormon settings.

For me, everything is not worth at all. Like me, you maybe should stop, if you dont wanna risk. The side effects increased after dont taking this drug. Now (4 Months later) i have still very low libido, but the testicular pain and the brainfog went away. Hopefully will recover during the next months like the majority.

I love my body now, i even dont care about my hair (who needs it, when you dont chase girls anymore, work on your selfconfidence, do some workout). Life is to important and DHT is ******* important.

Stay away from the forum, also from propceia help. There you wont find help, just anxiety.

Relax, stay away from this drug and feel the live more intensive then ever before cheers

If you experience such sides and you don't plan to become a monk it is advisable to stop it before you get worse.

Your first 2 sides are common, I have had watery ejaculate since the first week of taking finasteride. A lot of people report the sides going away after awhile, but the penis shrinkage might be concerning though. Didn't know that could happen. I don't wanna say its in your head, but I always thought my c*** was 8 inches erect. I swear I measured it one time. Later in life a female told me I'm nowhere near 8 inches so I measured it was like 5 1/2 inches :doh:.

Don't mean to make a joke of your situation.

I'd say stop it or at least consult your doctor/derm about your penis shrinkage.

I am not sure about the shrinkage.. some time it appears normal & sometimes i feel it has shrunk.

WOW that is an astonishing shrink. Do you know why women can't park a car? Men constantly lie them how much is 8 inches.

Regarding your worries: sides can be persistent some time after quitting (it is on the label). People go to normal in a few days/ weeks and for others it takes months; just the time your own body needs to "re-calibrate" its chemical/ hormonal balance again.

If you want to quit do it tappering off. It seems to be better in order to avoid long-time recovery.

So think of what you are going to do and if you decide to quit I advice you to little by little reduce its dosis and frequency so as to help your body get used to the drug abscense.

Are you sure you didn't have a tiny penis in the first place?
Jokes aside lol.
Those two are very common traits when taking finasteride, a lot of people 'say' that they go away after a couple of months, other say the complete opposite and just deal with the persistent sides. I would definitely just get off it, you're probably doing a lot of damage to your body by staying on it. Having watery semen is not really that bad, but on the other hand weaker erections can be really bad.

Update----
(1) watery semen problem is solved, now my semen is normal.
(2) my erections are getting better
(3) penis shrinkage still exists
(4) Libido has lowered a little.

Did you stop finasteride? You should. At 5 1/2 inches, losing much more size would be devastating.

I think i should wait for atleast 3 months more. before discontinuing it..
coz i have read many times tht the sides starts reducing after 4 months or so & in many cases it completely disappears as in the case of "ZeroHeat", this guy is on propecia for 5 years now with initial side effects of 6-8 months.

Sides are pretty much unpredictable man, they could persist or they may go away as you continue with it..basically have to decide for yourself if youre willing to take the risk

I seriously doubt that your penis has "shrunk". It is far more likely that you are simply less hard, and therefore your erection size is smaller. Try this:

- Measure you size now. (With a ruler)
- Stop taking finasteride for three days, AND THEN take a v****. Measure yourself again.

My bet is that you will be very pleased with the v**** result.

I quit Finasteride 1 month ago ( 11 months after begining ), the side effects went away completely after 12 days.
But i went to my dermatologist & in his opinion the sides from finasteride should reduce or completely disappear with the continues consumption for a year or so.
So he suggested me to continue finasteride for another 2-3 months and see if the side effect resolves, if not try dutasteride 2x/week.
I don't know what should i do next because my hair has started to shed very badly.

P.S while on finasteride the sides reduced a little after a 3 month mark but it has remained the same since then.
