If finasteride is causing erectile difficulties to the extent that it's effecting your life negatively, you need to make the choice if it's worth staying on the drug or not.
If your only problem is erectile issues, then v**** is a viable option. However, it is quite expensive and has side effects of it's own. Generally, it's not a good idea to treat side effects of one drug with another one, which can cause even more side effects, but you should discuss the pros and cons with your doctor.
Some long term studies of finasteride indicate that after 1 year of treatment, sexual side effects are almost non-existent. This suggests that if you continue your treatment for a year, chances are the problem will eventually go away on its own over time.
If you have just started on the drug recently, the initial few weeks to few months seem to be when side effects are at their worst, as your body is adjusting to the change in hormones.
