Hey, everyone! I am new to the forum and am pleased that a resource like this exists.
I have used hair fiber concealers successfully for many years, and have always made a point to choose the products which did NOT list silica in their ingredients. Although the Toppik brand concealer always worked very well for me, I was uneasy about the fact that it has silica in it, since I worried that breathing in small amounts of airborne silica day after day could be harmful. I had always opted for the Nanogen brand, since it didn't have silica, even though it was more expensive and didn't work quite as well as Toppik.
Unfortunately, it seems that Nanogen has started putting silica in their product. I am curious if anyone here knows of similar products which do not have silica or any other potentially harmful ingredients in them. Does anyone know if there is a version of Nanogen which is still silica-free?
Now, perhaps silica isn't harmful at all, but I have read that there may be a link between it and lung cancer. I don't want to take any chances and put myself at risk of something, especially since using these products isn't something I do only a couple times a year, but is something I use daily.
Thank you in advance for any information or advice anyone here can give me.
