I have a weak male pattern baldness family history. Only father has male pattern baldness he didn't start to lose it until his 30s, (he's a NW5 now at age 64) and my mom's brother started losing it in his late 20s he became a NW3 with some mid anterior thinning and stayed that way, (he is 41 now). Everybody else, that means uncles, cousins, grandfathers, even great grand fathers all had hair, nobody went past Norwood 2.
I'm only 22 and noticed thinning in the front about 8 months ago. I been on Propecia now for 4 1/2 months and looking exactly the same since I noticed my thinnnig but I know it takes a full year to see your results. I'm a NW2 but my miniturization test showed the exact same pattern my uncle got (NW3 with mid-anterior thinning) but I'm sure that ain't my final pattern since I'm very young!
My 2 questions are: How the hell with such a small family history I started to thin so early? But since it already began do I have a good chance that Propecia could help me (if it works) for many years because of my weak family history? I assume I can't have a aggressive genetic code but then again maybe you guys can give me some opinions.
