to a number 2 on top and 1 on side, and I thought I would get harassed and picked on for losing hair, guess how many people commented on hair loss? 0.

I have never buzzed my hair so short in my life, I work with mostly females (50+) and other than 1 19 year old preferring me with longer hair (she also hasn't noticed I'm thinning either) and 1 19 year old comment of OMG, everyone else that said something said they liked it or didn't say anything at all.

I buzzed my hair down to a 3 4 weeks prior and no one had any negative comments. When I buzzed it to a 3 it was at the time the shortest I have ever gone.

I remember reading umans comment after he buzzed his hair that the sharks came out, I haven't experienced that yet and I wouldn't get close to pulling of the look uman can. It might be because I am shy and keep to myself, or I didn't buzz it down far enough but seriously no one at least to my face made any bad comments regarding my hair.

We will see how tomorrow goes, maybe someone will throw some abuse my way finally.

generally only people who are very insecure about themselves and children throw abuse at people who have hair loss. try mingling with people who constantly have to put others down to feel better.

congrats for taking the plunge!

i remember when i gave in to the clippers, it was back in '06 when i joined this board, all my friends and family gave me odd looks and they couldn't help but comment on it. honestly, you can't really blame them for saying something, i mean, it is a drastic thing to do at first. pretty soon, though, they all get used to it and in fact after a while nobody will even remember what you looked like with hair.

Ghg you pull off the buzz look great as well.

No negative comments today. The final 19 yo I know of at work said it wasn't bad, but doesn't want me to go shorter after I said I plan to go shorter. One of the male guys who I get on really well with joked about becoming like the guy in Romper Stomper, it was in good fun so I couldn't take it as a negative comment.

In the 4 years I have worked in this place I have only had 1 person comment on my hair loss and that was my manager who is suffering from male pattern baldness was 2 weeks ago.

People at my work don't seem to care and are more concern with their own lives.

It's an Aussie movie about neo-nazi for anyone that doesn't know. It was released early 90's and from what I remember it was an OK movie. A similar movie would be American History X.

Why would you get sh*t for shaving? You have a full head of hair so your safe. It was being nw5 + shaving that elicited the negative responses from people. If I was just another nw1 with a shaved head like you it would be just another day in paradise, uhg :thumbdown2: .

I'm not a nw1, did you read my post on page 1? I asked for opinion on what level I am at on this forum and they said Norwood 5 pattern. I'm not saying I am a Norwood 5 but I'm certainly not a 1.

You can clearly see from the pictures of crown loss. My scalp hair has visibly thinned as well.

If I was a 1 I wouldn't even be on here.

Yeah, you've got some diffusing going on but I imagine it is hardly noticeable to the average non hairloss sufferer, which is my point about why you aren't getting put through the business from randoms. Enjoy that safety while it lasts.
