im *****en confused

ive seen posts of people taking high doses and regrowing some monsterous hair, like from Norwood 5 to NW1.5
im talking about 200mg a day
but than 200mg would give most people VERY unwanted side effects such as gyno, nasty ED and shrinkage of their balls, along with looking more feminine in general (distributaion of body fat etc).

than most people say that any dose lower than 200mg a day wont do a thing for hair loss,
but THAN i've read a post by summersnow which said that he DID got regrowth while only on 100mg,
and as far as i understand - 100mg a day can be pretty tolarateble.

so whats the verdict ?
is it worth going down the spironolactone road, not taking more than 100mg a day and get some regrowth, while not getting feminizing effects ?

lol,
ive been using dutasteride for about a year,
had to quit unwillingly,
now im back on it,
back on finasteride
back on topical finasteride
added topical dutasteride
minoxidil ofcourse
and now i want to compound a 5% topical spironolactone (somehow), though im having thoughts of maybe taking it orally.. i sure dont want feminizing effects and chemical castration, thus im trying to figure out if 100mg a day is worth it.. i just have like 60 or 90 spironolactone pills laying around here for more than a year.. havent done anything with them yet.

Under no circumstance should a cis male take oral spironolactone in my opinion. You're literally killing your manhood if you take oral spironolactone. Not so bad if you're trans like I am, but if you're just a regular guy it's not going to be very fun.

not even 50-100mg ?
im confused because i've read like 2 or 3 posts from different people saying that 100mg didnt gave them feminizing or castrating effects, and still gave them some regrowth and better skin.

I'd have a transplant before trying oral spironolactone, and I'd try topical with a penetration enhancer before the transplant.

penetration enhancer such as DMI ?
because both DMSO and dermarolling will take the drug straight to the blood which will be more or less like IVing it (which i'd belive would be even more powerfull than taking it orally)

I used the s5 cream sold here. For 6 months. It really didn't seem to do anything at all.
Since then I've used RU58841 for 18 months. And that's an effective topical that works on the same level of finasteride/dutasteride.

i'd think that the s5 cream sold in here wouldnt work for a few reasons.
first i did a lot of research and found that the only way you can get a real 5% topical spironolactone is by using pure DMSO, which will also send the stuff right to your bloodstream.
second spironolactone should have a smell when it dissolves in a liquid, as far as i understand the s5 doesnt smell
third, i have used 2% topical spironolactone in the past and it worked nicely to stop all shedding.

than finasteride and dutasteride are two different things, basically dutasteride is stronger by some degree,
than we dont know scientifically how does RU compares to them.

I'm on 50mg spironolactone twice a day and it nuked my testosterone in a heartbeat when I started taking it. spironolactone has a very short half-life but some people are very sensitive to it's AA effects. Apparently I am one of those. If I were cisgender instead and tried taking it, I'm sure it would be devastating to my life.

You are also on estradiol which will greatly reduce testosterone on its own. 100mg of spironolactone alone isn't strong enough to nuke T levels.

True but when I first started my HRT I was on spironolactone alone for several days to be sure I had no bad reactions before adding the estradiol. At day 3 of spironolactone, I felt the impact quite distinctly you-know-where. Literally felt like a mild kick in the 'nads. Not too painful, but sure would be disturbing to someone who wasn't expecting and welcoming it.
