From my research it has zero negative side effects and works very well, as good as Finasteride. So why is it not more popular? The FDA are notorious for being late to the game when it comes to approving new treatments...
It's not worth it. FDA approval is extremely costly. Why would the company do it for an old drug that people on hair loss forums have been using for over a decade, and who are still going bald, and scaring themselves into side effects that finasteride is plagued with. This is the same reason no one has bothered going for dutasteride FDA approval for hair loss. From my research it has zero negative side effects and works very well, as good as Finasteride. Bruh you think you got a virus from a topical anti androgen? That's literally impossible. They ignored you because they spent 10 years in med school and you read an online forum.I started taking ru and a nonth later got a myocardistis. Doctors said that it was a virus even tho I told them I tried this drug, they just ignored me.
Did you know minoxidil is plagued with heart problems especially if taken orally which a lot of people do. In fact it was originally invented to treat heart problems. RU is no different, except RU does not go systemic unless you microneedle then use it. I've received treatment unrelated to hairloss in the UK (where I live) which is still not approved by the FDA 4 years later. They're slow to the game, you're best off looking at the latest EU hairloss treatments, from countries which are not overlorded by the FDA.If your research showed it has 0 side effects, you clearly have done very little research. Many people have written about heart problems while taking RU. Could they just be coincidental? Maybe. But it is a risk factor to think about.

minoxidil goes as systemic just as much as RU. It literally has the same carrierI am perfectly aware of the risks of minoxidil, particularly oral minoxidil, and I don't believe it is safe to take long term. I never promoted oral minoxidil. The topical is much less systemic and safer than the oral in my opinion.
RU is different, if you aren't aware of this, I hope you do some more research before you start using it.
Suit yourself man just trying to help, I hope it goes well for you.minoxidil goes as systemic just as much as RU. It literally has the same carrier
Depends on molecule weight so it may not go anywhere near as systemic.minoxidil goes as systemic just as much as RU. It literally has the same carrier

Ru and minoxidil are to active ingredients. The carrier is the solvent... Smhminoxidil goes as systemic just as much as RU. It literally has the same carrier
OK boomerIf you think doctors are so smart and know everything, why the hell are you here instead of asking them for help? Im sure they will give you a solution... Smh
I'm 22 boomer"Ok boomer" says a 30yo to a 26yo

RU sure? From my actual research, what seems to be more likely is side affects on the lungs & heart due to similar sides from similar drugs like Nihalutimide, which can cause lung scarring/damage, angina and even heart failure when taking at the normal oral dosage which is 300mg for loading and 150mg for maintenance. These affects are listed as ocrruing in 1-10% of people at that dosage.
Now, even if you took 150mg of RU topically and it had the exact side effect profile of Nihalitimide, you're not going to get 100% systematic absorption, probably not even close. On top of this, Nihlutamide has a half life of over 50 hours, which is much higher then the 1 hour of RU and 20~ hour of it's metabolite. This, plus the fact that most people should be taking under or around 50mg of RU suggests the side effect profile should be vastly more safe then that of Nihlutamite, but I certainly wont say that I think it is a perfectly safe drug.
If you're taking 20-30mg of RU daily, the side effect profile is probably very reasonably tolerated. I also believe this lines up with one of the doses that was originally tested on humans (2.5% and 5%) and what could have led the doctor of the trial say that no health effects were detected as at that rate the systematic intake and serum metabolite levels are probably going to be effectively undetectable.
That doesn't mean these sides can't occur, and you should look beyond the morons on youtube if you're going to use one of these things. You probably are risking your long term health if you are on RU long term at anything higher then a 5% dose. Just my opinion though.
