The University of Minnesota, in a combined effort with other research institutes, have reported that supplements of soy isoflavones have been linked to fewer episodes of hot flashes as well as less severe hot flashes. If further research continues to validate this report, it would be of great benefit to all women. Hot flashes and their companions, night sweats, are the main topic of concern for women who are experiencing menopause.

A study of the data collected, indicated that when women ingeste 54 milligrams of soy isoflavone supplements daily for a period of six weeks up to a full year, 21% reported fewer hot flashes and 26% reported milder hot flashes. According to Mindy Kurzer, co-author of the study, “Our overall conclusion was that soy isoflavones do in fact have a significant effect.â€￾ Currently, treatment for hot flashes has been limited to hormone therapy, which is suspected of increasing a woman's chances of getting breast cancer as well as other severe health issues. Although, preliminary, and sometimes controversial, research into the benefits of soy have been associated with breast cancer, most professionals agree that there is no harm in using it in moderation.

soy is basically estrogen, which increases risk for cancer, breast cancers many are estrogen positive, so if you do anything that inc's estrog, take a supp of pure wheat bran and / or take DIM, make sure you get dim with enhanced absorption or take it with a dash of black pepper to help it absorb into your system an not just flush out.

Soy Isoflavones are an ineffective treatment for hair loss. Don't waste you money on them.

I have been taking soy siflavones 60mg each day for the last three months, I have not noticed any stoppage of hair loss or any regrowth. No side effects either. I will continue to using it for up to six months, I will report back.

You can take as much or as little as you like, and soy isoflavones are still not going to do a thing for your hair. Again, don't waste your hard earned money on this over-priced supplement.

I echo his ^ sentiments. Does nothing for hair loss. I've tried it for years and my hair loss escalated over time as usual.
