Specific advice for diffuse thinner?

Is there anything special that a "diffuse thinner" needs to do differently compared to typical male pattern baldness? I'm using the big 3, per this site's advice.

Also, are there are any before/after photos of diffuse thinners on big 3, (min, nizoral, finasteride)??

I've been on the regimen since July 17th this year in hopes of salvaging /regrowing some of what I have, or had, as the case may be.
The goal is to at least have enough "base coverage", even if it's peach fuzz, and use that in combination with concealers to cover up my see through hair. Right now, the scalp is shining right through the hair that I comb back over it. Couvre and Toppik help "some".

I use a mousse to thicken it, but it's losing it's power. It's just gotten so thin. I'm in the entertainment industry, so it has a direct impact on my income potential. I'm 49, and although it's not old to me, try telling that to a record company executive. Most of them are younger than I am.

Just curious, what are the odds and time frame involved before I can expect results?

I feel your pain...

I'm in entertainment, too, diffusely thinning all over the top and crappy hairline, and I'm 22! Just waiting for my new director to tell me he wants me to wear a piece, and I swore I never would. I'm covering up with Toppik and lots of hairspray, but stress is speeding up the shedding process. I have kept my hair much longer than my genes dictate, however. My dad was pretty bald by my age. I use tricomin, Dr. Lee's minoxidil (great stuff), msm and laser comb. Can't use Propecia because I got gyno from saw palmetto and it never completely went away. With my kind of performing, I can't have any visible gyno. Fns did a fantastic job of regrowing but caused a very nasty shed and I can't afford those. Msm is definitely helping the speed of growth and possibly stimulating some regrowth, but time will tell on that one.

I'm about diffuse as you can get and have been using minoxidil and Couvre for at least 10 years and have been using propecia since it was approved in I think 1999. Recently changed over to 1.25mg fincar. I am basically maintaining and relying heavily on Couvre. Must now grow hair long and slick back to basically elimate the shine of white scalp. Frontal is starting to get real thin and tough to use Couvre on, which really sucks and take time to get to look right. Dark hair is better for Couvre I would guess.

Yeah, I'm hip to that. I had posted regarding the use of "white" Couvre, and my trials with it, but since have learned to just get some, spread on with my fingers "while wet". That seems to help give a more realistic effect for me. Then I add the Toppik after it's all dried. Can't take the Couvre too close to the hairline though, I just emphasize the middle area on top. See, I actually have white hair, so I have to use the white. At least the super shine is gone.

I appreciate the feedback.
