I'm currently using the spectral DNC-lotion and can not vouch for the above. The lotion is a small 60ml bottle and as I am only using for the temple region, this should last more than 6 months for me.

Up to now it is working.

Thank you for your reply! do you know what is the difference between Spectral DNC-lotion and Spectral RS with Aminexil?

I need a topical for mostly my temples too so I'm glad to know that one 60mL bottle can be enough for half year. does it give you a good growth in your temples? how long have you been using it? any sides?

Is that the product you're talking about?
Spectral DNC
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000N2 ... B000N29X94

They even claim it works faster than Rogaine.

Another product - Spectral DNC-L, for advanced baldness stages?? is it really that effective? what is the difference between Spectral DNC and Spectral DNC-L? which one are you using?

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0011Y ... B0011YYJBU

I will be glad for your opinion, thanks.

DNC contains minoxidil and RS does not.

Goener. Go to the DS laboratories [aka divineskin] website and check who they stock their products to. This will guarantee you that the products are genuine. Apparently they are controlling their stock in case fakes get out there.

Amazon is not on the list!

I would recommend getting the Spectral DNC lotion. All the rubbish about it being rubbish is wrong. Everything in it has improved and the most easiest lotion to apply. If it is for the temple get this. It is recommended for NW4 or above but I am only NW1.5-2. I think they put this as minoxidil research was based on NW4.

The other is liquid form and you will end up using more. This being better for the crown.

Look at my blog. My OH told me that my temple looks like it has filled up and that is only the 6th week. Alot of the vellus hair has thickened up.

Feel free to ask me.

Hey Teddy, thanks - I checked out your link and it's not entirely true that Amazon is not on their list - Apparently Amazon works with some different merchants and two of them are on that list (Folica and Dermstore), they are responsible for the shipping and selling through Amazon. Therefore the DNC is supposed to be genuine and I do prefer to buy it from a well known and reliable site like Amazon.

I read a little further on DNC products and I realise that (other than RS) it's actually an improved version minoxidil 5% with extra add-ons. now that makes sense why they claim that it works faster than Rogaine. I thought at first that it was a completely new and different thing. It makes me feel better about it so I think I am going to buy it soon.

I couldn't find your blog - any link? what does OH stand for?

Congratulations for your growth, I hope it will work for me too :)

Yeah why not? I think that the Minoxidil in Spectral DNC does most of the work and I know that many people apply Minoxidil once a day. I think that it mostly depends on your Norwood level and your final goal. If you're Norwood 1-2 you could use it once a day but if you're on 'adavnced stages' you better use twice a day if you expect better results.

I was reading about the active ingredients in Spectral DNC and it sounds good:

Minoxidil 5% - proven treatment
Aminexil - Prevents stiffening and premature aging of hair roots
Retinol - improves absorption of minoxidil
Vitamins - accelerates metabolism in hair follicule
Nanosomes - delivers active ingredients deeper into the tissue
Adenosine - powerful hair regrowth agent
Procyanidin B2 + C1 - hair regrowth agents, works better with Minoxidil

I want to read some more reviews on this before I go for it!

The only reason I will keep using this stuff is because my scalp has never itched whilst using this stuff. Hair is growing through so will stick with it. It's cheaper for me as it is only for the frontal temple.

As I always say, you don't try it, you don't know.

They also manufacture a shampoo called revita, it includes ketonconazole which is the active ingredient in nizoral as well as a bunch of other stuff that may or may not help. Unlike nizoral it's also a daily use shampoo that you apply twice while in the shower.

I've used it before and I do like the way it makes my hair feel, whether it does anything or not. It's a bit pricey but I think I might restock on it.
