Spex is the only person I trust in the hair transplant field. If I ever decide to get one ( doubtful) I would do a skype call with him first.

I think he probably means celebs will most likely use top docs along with concealers and giving the wrong impression to people have not done any research that all hair transplants turn out like this.

No I think he means the issue of future loss. Most people will look at Rooney and think 'wow problem solved'! Just like that in 1 go he's fixed it permanatly.
What he's saying is people should learn about things like preparing for future loss before rushing into it.

Spex refers to celebrity transplants and states their results are "being truly misrepresented" - what does he mean?

Simply they use concealer to make their hair transplants look better like jason gardiner did and most people suspect rooney is doing as his growth is far too much in so little time.

So called "celebrities" have certainly brought hair transplant's into the open of late which is great however IMHO they are grossly misrepresenting what can actually be achieved via hair transplant surgery ( given the number of grafts they have recieved) by embellishing their results with obvious product enhancement ie. concealers.

This in turn misinforms the public as they will expect to achieve a similar results from hair transplant's alone ( No mention of concealers has been mentioned by them even when disclosing their hair transplant's on TV)

A picture paints 1000 words.

Actual result:

Result 8 months post op displayed on TV:

Little different arnt they ..

I think its still a good result - just a shame IMO that its been misrepresented. No mention of concealer whatsoever. Will we EVER know the real results of the celebs......

If clinics were to all display their before and afters with assistance from concealers there would be NUMEROUS unsatisfied patients when the harsh reality of inflated expectations kicks in.

The industry is full of smoke and mirrors unfortunately so just add it to the list and be aware!

Having realistic and appropriate expectations is VITAL. What can be achieved from hair transplant's alone is an important concept to be informed on, not misinformed on.

Probably the first reason, but IMO if he hates being bald and a hair transplant can give him 80% appearance of a full head of hair and then concealers can do the rest its no big deal.

Guys saying oh I would'nt want to do that have probably never experienced what it feels like to be truely bald.

If I was him at the age of 42 I'd be quite happy with how it looks even without the concealers.

THERE IS A HUGE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HAIRLOSS AND BALDNESS. Most NW6's would be overjoyed to just be able to get back to NW3.

But yeah there will always be people who critisize if the results are nothing less than 100% and thats why guys who are in the public eye feel pressurised to add concealers to the end result.
