Hi all,

I am just wondering what the compatibility of spironolactone and rogaine is.

I mean in terms of which should be applied first, should there be a certain ammount of time in between applications of either... Anything I need to know about this before I add spironolactone to my regimen would be very much appreciated.

Thanks.

I asked Dr Lee the same question.

If you're using 5% cream, put on the Minoxidil first, and you can put the cream on as soon as it dries i.e 10 minutes later.

If you're using the liquid spironolactone, or want to apply the spironolactone cream first, you need to wait a few hours.

That makes sense. Rogaine dries so nicely and the cream would probably help to keep it moisturized up there(if the spironolactone cream has much of a moisturizing property). But I cant imagine trying to put rogaine onto a oily moisturized scalp.

Thanks for info.

I apply it twice a day, but both within 3 hours...washing it out after the first application (Due to lifestlye) so it's more like once a day really.

It's not improved my hair..infact my hairloss has continued.

However, I believe it's slowed my hairloss down and shedding has reduced to hardly ever seeing a hair in the shower, even in my hands straight after applying shampoo.

So it's helping but not enough to save my hair alone.
