I'm taking daily:
1 x Propecia (1mg finasteride)
2 x 100mg generic spironolactone
2 x 2mg estriadol b17
2 x 100mcg estriadol b17 transdermal patches
Yea, I know, do NOT try this at home... unless you want to be hormonally female.
My question is... will adding dutasteride to this mix have any additional beneifical effects regarding hair loss? I've toyed with .5mg Dutas pills daily for a few months, but it was breaking my budget when added to everything else. I'd switch from Propecia to Dutas, but I don't entirely trust that the Dutas is the real thing, so I just added it to my regimen. But I just can't/shouldn't afford both.
I'm also wondering if the spironolactone + estrogen are doing the job by themselves, as they reduce serum T levels (I know we once had a debate about this - but what can I say? People taking these drugs have lower T levels when tested). There's less T to convert into DHT as it is. So maybe even the Propecia is redundant?
Is taking a drug (finasteride, dutasteride) which specifically targets DHT still of benefit if you're already reducing overall T levels?
My hairline only receded in the temples, and thinned diffusely on top somewhat, mostly in a U-shaped line connecting the temples. Much of that came back from Propecia alone over a few years, but still remained thinned. Since the above regimen, the left "part" line of that "U" totally filled in... I can't find it thinned anywhere. But the right part line is still a bit thin, so I'm looking for something more to hit it with.
Or... maybe that's the best I'm gonna get via chemicals
