Who uses spray with their concealer and what are the Pros/Cons? Is it necessary?

Hair spray is a must for me. You need some sort of glue to keep the fibers on your hair.

I personally use a lot of hairspray, wait for it to dry, then loosen my hair up afterwards with my fingers. I find that it keeps the concealer in without it looking like I am using a lot hair spray.

I use Dushi fibers and find I don't need to use any sprays. It sticks well without sprays. But I have short hair, not sure how it will be on someone with long hair.

Yes, you are going to need to use hairspray, unless maybe you only use something like Dermmatch, and just paint your scalp. But with fibers, definitely. No matter what any fiber-based concealer company says - and they all say that you don't have to - you are going to need to use hairspray.

Pros are that hairspray does a good job of keeping your fibers in place and also your hair so that it doesn't move and mess up your work with the fibers.

Cons are that... well, that you have to use hairspray to keep the fibers from falling out in your day to day life. Other cons are that if you get a smelly hairspray that lingers it can be irritating. I use Nexxus Maximum hold hairspray, and it does a good job, is not too smelly, and doesn't tend to get crusty like some others I have used, which is another con of using hairspray. You also want a hairspray which doesn't make your hair a hard helmet where you can't pull a comb through it if you have to fix something after you have put your concealer in. The one I use is pretty good with that, too. Just make sure it is dry before you try that.

Thanks all for the response, but I meant the sprays that fiber companies sell to stick fibers with.

Any hairspray will do the same thing as anything the concealer companies have. They are just trying to get more money from you.
On my last Toppik fibers order I also ordered the "Fiber Hold Hair Spray" which they tout as "specially formulated" to help the Toppik fibers to your hair. Which, first off begs the question, why do you need their hair spray when they also say in their advertising that Toppik Fibers don't come off?
I bought it just to try it out. The first thing I didn't like was the pump spray. I don't like pump sprays for hairspray because, for me, there is less control of how much or how little hairspray you can spray out. Aerosols just work better for me.
But also, their "Fiber Hold" spray just seemed to be hairspray with less holding ability. It was like a flexible hold hairspray you could buy anywhere.
On the plus side, it smelled nice. But that isn't worth a hill of beans when you want your fibers and hair to stay put.
