Started finasteride 1mg 3 times a week - got jizz sides

the day after my 3rd dose of finasteride (3mg a week)

I noticed that my semen was very watery and clear instead of normal thick white. It also had quite a bit less volume.

This worries me a ton as I want to have children in a few years and I don't think hair is worth risking my fertility.

Freaking out. I know a lot of guys get this side -but honestly how f*****g weird is it to ejaculate with a girl and it comes out like fkng water

Fertility shouldn't be an issue unless you had a low sperm count before taking it. I worried about this at first too (Even though I haven't experienced any sides so far) and most fertility clinics and studies agree that even though finasteride lowers sperm count in most men by 20% or so, this is temporary and only lasts for as long as you take the drug. So if you stop taking it for a couple weeks to a month your sperm count will go back to the levels you had before you took it.

To my knowledge I don’t know of any pre existing condition with my sperm count. Do you know if the side effect will go away with time? I really don’t want to have to explain this to my female partners

Many people improve after a while, though you are guaranteed to have a lower sperm count as long as you keep taking finasteride. I wouldn't worry to much on the jizz department, if anything it'd be easier to swallow by most girls hahahahaha.

it certainly hurts the experience imo

I don’t really mind if it’s just reduced a little but shooting blanks and water is awkward and embarrassing

Ive noticed i get less morning wood - its much weaker if at all

also my nuts are constantly in the sucked in state as though its cold. I thought it might be because its winter - but i feel like the difference is profound enough for me to assume its the drug?

Second but of this was me being a hypochondriac and the weather lol

first bit though is definitely the case. I used to wake up with consistent morning erections and now it’s like once a week and a pretty weak one at that.

I also noticed than in general it feels like it takes far more stimulation (visual but also physical) to get aroused. This is really bothersome...
