Started Receding Early. What Are My Chances To Maintain On finasteride + Nizoral?

Hello!

I've noticed my receding temples when I was about 18, so my male pattern baldness is probably very aggressive. Now I am 20, I've been on 1.25 mg/day finasteride for 1 year and 3 months, and I use Nizoral shampoo once a week.

I don't feel like my hairline is getting any worse, but sometimes my scalp still feels itchy on places where hair loss has been happening before, so I probably did not manage to stop it completely.

Is there a chance for me to maintain even with an aggressive male pattern baldness like mine (I am not looking for regrowth, although it would be a nice bonus)? Are there any people who started receding early, but stopped or significaly slowed it down with finasteride?

Apologies for my English.

It will be difficult, but the fact you haven't noticed any loss in 15 months is very encouraging. Maybe bump up the nizoral to two or three times a week and add minoxidil.

Thanks for your answer! Do you think that minoxidil is really necessary for people who are okay with just maintaining?

Add massage and dietary changes. Get all vitamin and minerals. Eat plant protein than animal protein. If you massage your scalp by skin kneading And pressing then it is not required to add minoxidil to regimen. Best luck!

You might not need it, BUT if you're scared of an accident happening wouldn't you want both a seatbelt and an airbag? Minoxidil stimulates hair growth. Hair loss is a battle, you kind of want most of your troops if you know what i mean? That said, i think finasteride is more important than minoxidil.

Your chances are better on the big 3 than not being on it. I dont think anyone has more of a prediction. Your family tree of male pattern baldness is probably the best guess at your fate.

add minoxidil it does help
It's a potassium channel opener
Also look into stemoxydine

Plus add msm and biotin as supplement
