Starting Aloe Vera Gel + Dutasteride Experiment

So after many readings and researches, I've decided to add this experiment to my regimen. Here is what I do: I cut off a dutasteride capsule and mix it with aloe vera gel (92% pure aloe vera, with some alcohol). I wash my hair with regular shampoo with warm water, then apply this mixture on my head and leave it on for about 10 to 15 minutes, then rinse it off.

So here is my new regimen:
1. Dutasteride 1mg (2 caps) daily taken orally.
2. Aloe vera gel + dutasteride every other day. (10-15 mins before rinsing)
3. Keto 2% shampoo once weekly. (10-15 mins before rinsing)

When I put in the dutasteride liquid in the aloe vera gel and mix them, the transparent gel becomes milky white color, this is also how I can tell the dutasteride I'm taking is 100% genuine. Of course I knew the drugs I got were genuine, but this is concrete proof.

Will report back how it goes every month!

I get them from a local pharmacy that I trust.

I dont use any minoxidil because I dont want my hair depends on minoxidil.

dutasteride isnt expensive, 0.5 avodart cost less than a cheap beer, or a bottled water in 7-11.

How long have you been on oral dutasteride? Just trying to distinguish between potential results from topical vs oral.

@horunger - lol dude i was being semi cynical regarding price. I know dutasteride/finasteride generic and brand name prices. i was showing my frustration cuz op is responding so well to dutasteride thar he's using 3 months worth in 1 month. Lucky for op thats all hes using and its working for him. Im a shitty reasponder so buying 3 months worth of dutasteride for 1 month on top guzzling down minoxidil foam like a hoe and now buying alpicort f and buying ru as well would get expensive in the long run.
Btw do they sell at the phillipines original brand Loniten 5/10mg, and if so how much is it over there ?

I saw it im another guys thread and credit goes to antydhtor. $30 for 75mg of dutasteride is amazing. At this price it would be very affordable to use 1ml (2.5mg dutasteride) ed or eod on top with ur oral dutasteride. Im really curious what kind of results ull get !!
Honestly im so envious u respond well to dutasteride, all i got with dutasteride was endless shedding, never recovered.

I can try to find out about Loniten, but its not listed on Mercury Drugs medicine database. As a general rule things are not cheap in philippines, the only reason i bought there was i didnt need prescription but if going there you should be aware that some pharmacies can ask for prescriptions for certain medicines and most will not sell to you if you dont know what you need since pharmacists are not allowed to do a doctors job, if you say for example "penicillin for gonorrea" you will be told to provide a prescription but saying "400mg Cefixime" will do the trick. You need to know brand or generic name, and for narcotic meds go to Cambodia and stay far far away from Philippines, its easy to buy a bag of illegal weed in Ph but legal narcotic meds are strictly controlled, the system is quite backwards and way beyond ridiculous.

But they don't come from GSK. The brand name Avodart costs me about $45USD per box (30cap) from GSK, and I buy 3 every months. I just don't want to take any chances. Hair is way too important to me.

After the third treatment, I noticed the few pimples on my scalp are gone! There was one acne on my forehead before the treatment, it's also gone now! I don't know if this effect is from the aloe vera gel or dutasteride itself, but I only leave it on my scalp and face for 15 minutes, then rinse off. So it must be the dutasteride.

But then, even taking 1mg (2caps) of dutasteride orally couldn't get rid of the pimples on the scalp, why would 0.5mg of dutasteride topically every other day get rid of them?

But this is still too early to say for sure, the pimples and acne may come back later.

that would be the aloe vera lol....its known to heal inflammation
