Starting Rogaine...some questions

Hello all,

i bought a 3pack of rogaine foam. On the back, however, it states that it should not be used for frontal thinning or hairline loss. My hair is receding on the temples, the hairline, sh*t all over. i have been on propecia for a year and a half....not sure if it is really doing anything (i suspect it isnt). Two questions...

1.) Has anyone had success with frontal or overall scalp thinning with rogaine foam? The back label clearly states to not use it if You're wanting that.

2.) I have read somewhere that those who used Propecia with no results got results once they threw rogaine into the mix. True?

rogaine was only ever tested on the crown so legally they can only say it works on the crown,however many have success with minoxidil all over the head

it is true that for best results you should be on finasteride,minozidil and nizoral 2% (the big three)


when you say the finasteride isnt doing anything,are you sure? have you maintained what you had at the start? if you have then for finasteride this is success

i think i have lost some since getting on it, tho i am not quite sure. Is there a way to find out? Would a dermatologist be helpful?

the only way youd be able to tell is if you take photos.....if you are unsure if you have lost or not then sounds like finasteride is helping.

i dunno about dermatologists,if i was you id just stick to treatments for a year then reassess

I bought nizoral from boots.com, it doesn't say if its 2% or not. Does it matter if its only 1%? Also how often are you supposed to use it in the fight against hairloss?
