Starting To Get Mental Side Effects After 1 Year Of Finasteride?

Hey guys,

I have been taking 1 mg of finasteride for about a year with good results. I had no side effects other than reduced ejaculate volume.

But now I'm starting to get what I believe are mental side effects of finasteride. Sometimes I will be talking with someone and I will forget what I wanted to say. I have also noticed that I forget things more often like my shoes at the gym. Sometimes when I talk I will mix words that are similar. Occasionally I will also stutter and this never happened before.

This is pretty scary because I'm only 27 years old. Could this be because of finasteride? Should I stop taking the drug or reduce the dose to 0.5 mg to see if it's a side effect?

I've read of many trying to dose down to maybe .5 EOD and see if any improvements happen, if not reduce even more. Best would be to consult a specialist.

Yeah sounds like what I get when I take it 7 days a week, try taking weekends off from finasteride, this helped me and let’s me remain on the drug 4-5/7 days a week
