Starting with Avodart

Hello to all,
i've read huge part of this board and decided to give avodart a shot. i've ordered 3 month supply few moments ago.
im into Norwood stage 2 and i would really like to stop it from going any further.
density is also what im looking for because right now it's pretty low.
till now i've been using dercos (vichy) but it only slowed down loss process.

the thing that bothers me the most about avodart is shedding, some of you experineced it, some not.
is there a possibility to avoid shedding at beginnings of treatment? maybe with lower dossage, 0.5 every second day?

I dont think lowering your dose will help. Just take it daily and hopefully you wont shed.

We really shouldn't encourage you from going onto Dutasteride. Have you used Propecia yet?

As far as dutasteride goes, I use it daily. It is holding my Norwood ~2 firm, with thickening and regrowth on the midscalp and crown.

anyway, my hair is pretty good actually, but density is not as good as i would like, so im in big dilema, to start dutasteride and risk shedding or to leave it as it is

You need to read these boards more!

Its not like propecia effects your sex drive and dutasteride doesnt. dutasteride actually inhibits more 5alpha - in theory it should kill your sex drive more than propecia could. A read a post a while ago where a guy took finasteride, got lowered libido, switched to dutasteride and lost all libido and got ed.

However everyone is different - you might get no shedding on dutasteride, and no libido side effects. You might get the same from finasteride. You might get bad sides from finasteride, and none for dutasteride. If you are basing your predictions on people's experience from these boards, remember they are only representing a small portion of users, and are in no way an accurate cross section of each drug's relative effects.

finasteride is approved for hair loss, dutasteride is not - this might be a significant issue for you, so why not look into finasteride first? If not, go with the dutasteride.

This individual called Seeker has sent us an email stating why we haven't shipped him certain items. It is listed below. Now he has come onto your site badmouthing us while being totally unable to present any answers to our questions. His baseless statements and inability to remember where he ordered from speak for themselves. We would rather not have our billing details splashed all over forums for no reason but anyone who has ordered from us can confirm we do not bill under the name One Pharm. Following is his email and our reply.

"Hi, 16th june i bought 3 month supply of avodart and 2 v**** packs,
didn't received mail when i ordered but my credit card is charged so i
guess the order is ok?!
my info:"

To which our reply was

"We can find no record of your purchase or indeed of your name in our
record and in any event we do not ship to Eastern Europe without knowing
our customer due to the incidence of fraud originating there. There is no
way your card could have been charged without our approval as orders must
be processed offline and the moment it was spotted the shipping
destination was Eastern Europe you would have been contacted.

This is a curious affair. Please send all relevant documentation you have
regarding your purchase. Was it in your name? What is your order ID? How
much were you billed? What does it say on your credit card statement?

Could you not be mistaken and have us mixed up with another site? We have
only ever had one box of v**** in stock and that was shipped elsewhere.
Once again our system shows no record but if you have any further
documentary evidence please present it and we will examine this further."

Please delete this thread if at all possible as it is misrepresentative at best and libellous at worst.

sorry, looks like it was pure my mistake, i was sure the site was yours...the problem is i haven't got mails confirming order and cannot find that damn site, looked at history but nothing.
