So, long time reader, first time 36-year old diffuse poster here.
I was losing hair for the past 15 years on my temples, but that did not bother me that much. However, in the past year, I've started thinning everywhere, so I've decided to try doing something about that.
Propecia is not sold in my country. However, Proscar is.
My dermatologist gave me a prescription for it and offered to contact a local pharmacy that can split Proscar pill into 5 smaller ones. They have a lot experience and are also making topical one and can also make minoxidil+finasteride.
I am afraid that 1mg will be too much and was wondering if I should start with 0.5m dosage. Pharmacy told me that they can split one pill into 10, but that dermatologist has to agree too. Not sure if he will agree, as he said that 1mg works and that we should not mess with that.
So, fellow posters, what do you suggest?
