How can you tell if you are just thinning or going to lose all your hair? I mean if you start thinning, can it stop at a certain point or does it just keep going no matter what.

This is how it works. Your hair over time get thinner and thinner until it stops growing at all. Which means you will thin before you loss your hair.

You really can't tell. The best you can do is look at people in your family with hairloss. This isn't a very accurate gauge though.
