Hi Everyone,

I am new here and glad to find out about this website as i feel it have lots of purpose in it and currently doing my research in male pattern baldness before battling it.

I have upload 7 photos of myself. This photos are recently taken.
I feel my hair especially the temples area (front corners) had receded way back.
I once went to the doctor before and ask if i could take a blood test to check if i am suffering from male pattern baldness, the doctor check my hair and told me no need but i insist, i show him my forehead the temples receding, he told me when a teenage starts turning into an adult the hairline will move to the back which is called the mature hairline, so i was really confuse with what he had said or am i just imagining things myself too much ?

So i would love to get help, views and advice from anyone ?
I would like to find out my norwood scale from the photos i uploaded ? 1,2,3,4 ?

As once i know what is the norwood scale i am in, i can seek early treatment and battle against the temples corners of my hair.

I thanks everyone for reading, sorry to take up your time, have a nice day everyone.

Regards

Steve

Re: Hair Norwood scale ?

You still have a good hairline, but all of the hairs in the corner region are miniaturized. I would consider you to be in the NW1.5 category because you haven't lost the hair up front, it's just weak.

I would seek treatment with minoxidil and finasteride right away. Once the hairline disappears, it's usually gone for good.

Re: Hair Norwood scale ?

that's male pattern baldness.. I'd say u r b/w NW1.5 and NW2. Get on finasteride/minoxidil then hope for the best.

Look like things got bad recently, i start to see thinning on my back of the head, which i guess it should be the crown area (vertex). I am worried now, and hope my appointment could come real soon, as i really want to get into propecia and minoxidil real soon to save my crown hair and hope my temples could grow baby hair too, i kept thinking could my crown hair be thinning because i keep long hair, this question keep buzzing in my head. I don't ask for much if the medication helps me and regain back my hairline, i plan to keep my hair short and never long again, as i believe keeping long hair is unhealthy, that is my point of view in my opinion, no offense people !

Let me upload some pic to show you guys my hair problem

upload the crown area (Sad)

I plan to buzz my hair, could not stand it anymore, i guess when hair is thinning don't keep it long, as it make my scalp at the back heavy that cause pain in my scalp. Lost hope.

I dont see any crown loss either, a buzzcut might look pretty cool but you might aswell just cut it a bit shorter. Get on finasteride and see how it turns out in a year! good luck
