Hi guys ,

I here because I would like to have some of you experience about dutasteride.

I tried many things before trying dutasteride :

- All the natural bullshit
- Finasteride --> 9 months
- RU58841 --> 2 months and 2 weeks
- Topical minoxidil + tretnoin + microneedling 1.5mm every week --> 7 months

I had not enough results with finasteride but I had amazing results with finasteride + Ru. Infortunatly, RU gave me sides on heart so I stoped.

Currently, I use Dutasteride 0.5mg ED today is the 4 months mark and I still see my hairline receding, hair falling (like 50 every day but it used to be worst). It's very stange because one week I will have like 20 hair falling + thick looking hair and the next week will be 60 hair and thin looking hair.

I have to add that I had a big shedding after 1 month and a half on dutasteride.

I also use LLLT 272 diodes EoD since 4 month but only consistanly since 1month and a half.

Since RU (6 months ago) i have some baby hair on the forehead but it doesn't move at all.

I plan to use oral minoxidil but I wanted to stop hairloss on dutasteride before starting. I may try in 2 months

Any opinion ?

Thanks guys

PS : It make sense that I will stick to dutasteride + LLLT at least 8 more months.

Was on dutasteride 7 months later hair was thinner. Another 7 months even thinner. I ended up Ejaculating 1 drop of sperm so I quit. Still got low sperm as hell from it. Very shitty drug. It raises your T too much and scalp T. Which can also contribute to thinning.

That's very good to know !

How did you manage to stop hair loss (if you did, of course) ?

Can I ask your ru dosage? I had sides aswell but I used it solo once a day it was poison for my hair folicles. Maybe I got impure sh*t but anagen incs ru tested 58% pure.

Yeah, then you will have to wait at least 6 months to recover from sides.

What is this new regimen ? I consider using oral minoxidil and after, some melatonin + cetirezin + cbd mixed in some stemoxydine ... here I'am lol !

About Ru, I tried 50 / 40 / 30 / 20 / 10 mg per day but still had some sides ! Mine was coming from aliexpres lol !
But very nice results for me.

You also said that T increased because of dutasteride. What's the problem with that ? If I'm right, it's about 200% on the scalp and 20% in serum.

T isn't doing anything to follicules. If you think it does, give me some studies about that :)

Maybe if it's right, trying topical dutasteride would be intressting.

I used dutasteride orally and topically. Should block enough dht. I Still lost hair so T must have been responsible. T is an androgen too.

Can I just ask did u apply RU only once a day and what type of results did you get with it? How Long into ru did you notice a benefit? Did you have shedding on it?

@losingbattle88 Yeah, like to have many other androgenes, doesn't mean it's involved in hairloss.
According to study, dutasteride is much benefical than finasteride for hairloss but still increase T about 200% in scalp... Doesn't explain so much.

I was applying once a day and had some regrowth after 2months and 1 week. Yeah i had shedding, but I had for everything i tried.

@Dr sanches Very nice, I was looking for some help, not some "Shave it". It wouldn't be so aggressive is RU was enough for me. Please leave this thread if you hav nothing else to say.

I used for 2 months ru and it gave me 2 thin spots like alopecia areata and no thickening or regrowth at all and hair never recovered, second time i used ru it gave me a shock to my system felt like my body was shutting down and 2 weeks later i got insane telogen effluvium and lost 1000 hairs a day for weeks. I had clumps of hair coming out in shower. So now im scared as hell by ru. And btw its called androgenetic alopecia. Testosteron and dht are the culprits not just DHT.

- Yeah RU58841 hasn't been tested to phase 3 or even 4. It's shitty stuff even if it's efficient. You still have Fluridil but f*ck, it's so expensive.

- Are you sure it' male pattern baldness that you have ? If you're basicly responding to nothing, It might be intressting to understand why. Like doing bloodwork and / or checking for chronic telogen effluvium ?

- We called it like that before knowing it was DHT the issue (Hypocratus discovered that testosterone was related to male pattern baldness). Imagine if it would have been "dihydrotestosterone-genetic alopecia" or "testosterone-genetic alopecia " wouldn't sounds great lol !

It's the conversion of testosterone in DHT that is implicated in this, not directly testosterone. Maybe we call it like this because testosterone is turning in DHT, so two androgenes are involved (but not responsible) ?

I'm pretty sure there's absolutly no study saying that T is involved, or even other andogenes. MAYBE Prostaglandin D2 if you want to...

I lose like 4 hairs in shower and 1 on comb. But hair grows very slow. I did blood test a few days ago. Many guys recommend ru to also block testosterone. To block dht isnt that necessary because you nuke enough of it by dutasteride. I dont Think i only have male pattern baldness no. Not at all. Testosteron bind to hair folicles too and shrink Them but its alot weaker than dht.

Ok it's not so much hair compare to me ha ha ! Have you tried something like melatonin, CBD, Cetirizin, tretinoin... ? It doesn't target directly the cause of male pattern baldness but may have efficiency ...

Keep on testing things, you will find something good.

It's not because 5000 people says some BS that it make it true. Meaning that Ru is acting a bit better than5AR inhibitors yeah, but it can block something different than tesstosterone, or it can block DHT better than finasteride/dutasteride can act or maybe it does something different ? Who know ... ?
Not enough studies about it.

Dutas did nothing for my hair loss. I have been taking it for 1.5 years every single day and I did a blood work a month ago and I had 1011 ng/dl (Normal levels between 240-950 ng/dl in men 19+) and DHT was on 59ng/dl(Normal levels berween 11 to 95ng/dl), so ye in my case dutasteride was a complete placebo drug LOL. I was taking avodart in case anyone says the typical 'bro that was fake generic dutasteride'. I'm taking finasteride now hoping it does something.

Im on a new regimen now you can see it. I did use dutasteride orally and topically it only stalled my hairline from getting worse. But continued thinning all over. Many say dutasteride makes hair worse than finasteride. I have done My research.

B

Both of you have aggressive hair loss and can’t stop it with finasteride or dutasteride and ru so I’d shave it tbh
Yeah that is why I'm using bicalutamide and will use estrogen bro. There is no way you can't recover from it using that. You are basically creating a woman's scalp environment.

@Adri23 : You use it topicaly or oraly ?

@Dr sanches : You like to give hope uh ? Do you ? There still a lot of things to do if dutasteride / finasteride / Ru doesn't work. Chill !
